Why we wear them and how....
The Boy Scouts of America has always been a uniformed body. There are many reasons for this. But one reason stands out above all the rest. We wear the uniform because it is a means of identifying ourselves openly with the principles to which we are committed- character development, citizenship training, and physical and mental fitness.
We stand together, not alone in encouraging others to live by these same principles. Boys and adults alike should take pride in belonging to such a movement and wear the uniform as it is intended.
Localy, here is the best place to purchase all your Cub Scout uniforms/books and extras.

*It is Pack 717's policy to have every Scout Active, so in order for all Scouts to be a part and do their part for the Pack, the uniform for the Scout is the Scout Shirt at a minimum. Other items for the uniform are suggested, Scouts can wear the complete uniform as desired, but it is not manditory. If parents would like they can contact the Cub Master for information on the Council Uniform Locker.

Ask the Cub Master for a Uniform inspection sheet. It will assist you in the proper placement of patches on the Uniform.
